These are the official results of the men's shot put event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There were a total number of 27 participating athletes. The event took place on 31 July 1992.
Gold medalist Stulce had returned from a 1990 two-year doping ban just in time to win the gold medal at the Barcelona Olympics.
He subsequently failed another doping test at the 1993 World Outdoor Championships and received a life ban. Silver Jim Doehring later tested positive for a banned steroids. Bronze Lykho was stripped of his, also bronze medal won at the 1990 European Championships in Split due to a doping offence.
